“Emphasize on Focus, Discipline and Action to Achieve Great Success” - Professor M.S.Rao

"The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires." - William Arthur Ward

People come out with lots of formulae but here is a formula that helps you achieve great success: Focus + Discipline + Action = Success

Nowadays people rarely find time to focus as they are busy with other activities that are often unproductive and tempting.  The need of the hour is to focus on the productive activities that help you in the long run.  But focusing is not that easy as some people have wavering minds. They find it tough to focus on a particular thing. When you look at Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple, he was highly focused. Once he decided to focus on a particular activity, he did not shift his focus till he completed it. Above all, he truly followed his passions. Secondly, he was highly disciplined to accomplish his goals. He was unmoved by failures whenever he innovated new things. He learnt lessons from failures and maintained total discipline to achieve his goals. Thirdly, he took action. There are many people who are focused and disciplined but lack in action.  Remember, vision is ineffective without communication, talent is ineffective without focus and systems, and systems are ineffective without speed and agility.

Additionally, strive for excellence and don’t settle for mediocrity. It is observed that some people are content when they achieve their goals partly. It does no good in the long run. What you must cultivate is to justify until the end to achieve excellence and greater satisfaction. If you emphasize on the mediocrity you will be in the middle of the road. When you want to cross the road to reach your goal, you must emphasize on excellence.

“A fellow of mediocre talent will remain a mediocrity, whether he travels or not; but one of superior talent (which without impiety I cannot deny that I possess) will go to seed if he always remains in the same place.” - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
