“A good teacher is like a candle - it
consumes itself to light the way for others.” – Anonymous
Today is my birth anniversary. I
received lots of e-mails from my students and some of my ex-students phoned me from
various parts of the world greeting on the eve of my birthday. I am touched
with their reverence! I am moved with their love and affection! Here are my
feelings to share with all of my beloved students:
Many people ask me the reason behind
my academic advancement and success. I tell them that I am what I am because of
my students. I am what I am because of their love and affection. I am what I am
because of their overwhelming continuous support for the last eight years. In
fact, I am a small professor standing on the shoulders of giants who are great and
passionate students.
My lifetime vision is to build one
million students as global leaders by 2030. I often think about my students. I
am very passionate about them. Whatever the books I read, it is for my
students. Whatever I learn is for my
students. Every parent wants their
children to grow much bigger than them. Similarly, I want my students to grow
much smarter and bigger than me. I want them to overtake me in terms of
knowledge, experience and success. I consider their success my success. It is a
privilege that I have crossed my path with some of the best students in my lifetime.
I am happy that I have made a difference
in the lives of students.
It is a privilege to be born in this
world. It is an honor to associate the dedicated and passionate students during
my lifetime. I thank God for gifting me wonderful life to serve my students. I
thank God for giving me the opportunity to read many books in my life. I thank
God for giving me rich diversified experience in various areas to share with
others. Overall, I am very excited to be born as a human being, and it is an
honor to become a professor to share my knowledge with my students.
Once again, I thank all my loving
students through social media for their greetings and love and affection.
“In a completely rational society, the
best of us would be teachers and the rest of us would have to settle for
something less, because passing civilization along from one generation to the
next ought to be the highest honor and the highest responsibility anyone could
have.” - Lee Iacocca
