“It is better to have a lion at the
head of an army of sheep than a sheep at the head of an army of lions.” –
Daniel Defoe
I listened to Pawan Kalyan’s speech
yesterday on the eve of launching his new party - Jana Sena. I was happy the
way he expressed the challenges the common man is encountering in the Indian society.
He highlighted the atrocities on women. He expressed his anguish the way the
state of Andhra Pradesh was divided against the will of the majority. He also
expressed the divisive politics and the forces that become a major threat to
national unity and integrity. However, I
was not pleased the kind of language he used and the way he expressed his
anger. To become a mature politician, Pawan must control his aggression. He
must exercise restraint. He must have patience and use more of his brain power
rather than his tongue power.
India is a land of unity in diversity.
India is symbol of toleration and brotherhood. India is an example of truth and
non-violence to the world. Indians are good people with added touch of emotions.
Hence, there are some politicians who exploit the emotions of Indians by
talking against other regions, religions, languages, cultures, castes and
communities. The courts must take such
issues seriously. The mature politicians must exercise decence and above all,
people must teach lessons to such notorious politicians. Jai Hind!
Pawan must realize that mere rhetoric
doesn’t pay. He must translate his vision in action. He must select good team
members as hates ‘jumpers and jokers’. He must connect with common man and
travel widely to reach out to people. Then only he can make a difference to the
society. I wish him good luck for his new party and initiative.
