“When a Boy Likes a Girl Everybody Knows in the College But When a Girl Likes a Boy ……” - Professor M.S.Rao

"Love ceases to be a pleasure when it ceases to be a secret." - Aphra Behn

Recently four teenage girl students consulted me to clarify their queries on career. During the course of career counseling, the discussion went around the difference between men and women. I said, “Men are like mangoes while women are like apples”. One of the girls curiously asked me, ‘Why men are mangoes and women are apples?’  I said that men mature slowly while women mature quickly and women can understand various aspects much better than men as they are blessed with certain advantages by God such as multitasking, rapid thinking, assertiveness and emotional intelligence. And they are good at interpersonal skills, soft skills and empathize with others. While men are blessed with physical power women are blessed with mental power. After hearing my justification, she was very much excited with my ideas and burst into ecstasy and asked, “Sir, do you one thing?”
I immediately asked her, “How do I know what is there in your mind?”
She asserted, “When a boy loves a girl everybody knows in the college but when a girl loves a boy nobody knows it EXCEPT that girl!”
I agreed with her comment and I thought of writing an article and that’s why you are reading this post now

Usually men are attracted by women’s physical appearance and they often look at women’s beauty followed by her behavior. In contrast, women observe the voice modulation of men and look whether men are genuine or not. They look for intensity in voice, observe tone and tenor and look beyond the faces of men.  Above all, women look for sincerity and integrity among men apart from character. Most men exhibit their love to women by their excitement and it is quickly reflected through their body language and especially through their facial expressions. And everybody will come to know easily that the man loves a particular girl. Most boys don’t realize this and exhibit their love to the girls quickly in front of others. Most boys often disclose to their friends that they love a particular girl and it becomes a great talk in the college campus. However, women rarely express their love to others, and are conscious about others especially society and don’t reveal their minds easily. Of course, it depends on cultural aspects also. Especially in a country like India most of the girls don’t express their love openly due to various reasons including the fear of society, shyness, rejection or ridicule. It is because of these reasons most of the girls don’t disclose their love even to their best female friends.

Hence, boys! Be careful when you love a girl. Remember that others are watching you keenly. Don’t get overexcited. Control your emotions. Don’t disclose your cards. Don’t put the girl you love in a tight spot in front of others by saying ‘I love you’.  Empathize with her and demonstrate your love as per the situation to win her heart and live in her heart forever.

Dear girls! Understand the problems of boys whose maturity levels are slow. Talk to them. Open up yourself. Respect their excitement and feelings. Remember that to be loved is more important than loving boys who ignore you. Convey your love and reciprocate accordingly to build connectivity, compatibility and chemistry.

I hope you have enjoyed reading this article. And I dedicate this article to boys and girls who truly understand the feelings of ‘Love’ and respect “LOVE”.
